Mani á la CdC

Last week I had a friend over for a little talk and mani time. 

On her I used a neon purple from American Apparel as a base color, then random nail polishes to creat different shapes and patterns. And to top this playful manicure off, I used Essie's 'Matte About You'.

Afterwards we were both craving some cheez crunchers. And Allie didn't want to ruin her freshly made manicure, so she thought eating with chopsticks was the most brilliant idea ever, haha.

Yesterday, I turned my little corner in to a nail salon and gave my friend a manicure á la Zooey Deschanel. 

Inspired by her amazing tuxedo nails she wore at the Golden Globes 2012.

Winter manicure

 The other day, when I walked around in town with Tina, we stopped by an art's & craf's store. My eyes fell for this gorgeous little can of glitter, and my mind immediately thought - oh, I need to try a nail design with this!

I think it turned out to be a fun, winter, glitter nail. 

And, of course, it look sooooo much more pretty in real life! 

White & clear nail polish and some sort of glitter

 Start off with a nice, white manicure :)

 Paint a coat with the clear polish and then apply your glitter

 Repeat on the other hand

To seal the deal, I applied two coats of Essie's "Good to go"

Aaaand voilà!

I have grown to be a little bit of a nail polish addict... Seriosly guys, I LOVE painting my nails. 

It's like I have 10 little mini canvases that I get to fill with colors! 

It's such  a creative process that I really enjoy and that I actually find kinda relaxing, wich is nice. 

And so, here we have my latest nail polish purchases. 

All from my favorite brand, Essie.

For a couple of weeks ago I saw this new, cool nail design that I just had to try myself! 

Naturally my end results didn't really get as sharp but it turned out pretty decent, I think. I just have to practice to get the lines thin and sharp. Almost there.

I am so excited for my latest nail design! 

Just the other day I was sitting and looking through various nail art blogs for some new inspiration. And then I found  moveSlightly's gorgeous blog. And when I saw her COMME des GARÇONS PLAY nail art design I immediately fell in love! This is such a fun manicure.

So, after an intense morning with studying I decided to take a break and went on a little shopping spree. And these are the goodies I came home with. Two new nail polishes (I have special nail design in mind), a new mascara, a new lipstick and a nice, flowy summer tunic.
